Happy 9th Birthday to Maris!!

Maris had lots of ideas of what to do today, but in the end we waited for a baby that hasn't come! Moriah, Emily, and Madison are at the lake camping this week with the Yeoman's and my sister's family; Michaela watched the boys while Maris and Maia accompanied me to the doctors office for a non stress test. The baby was happy as could be so the three of us had lunch out and then did some shopping so Maris could spend her money.

After a slow loop around Target stopping at each department Maris chose to spend her money on a Sponge Bob Square Pants Operation Game! Mark, Maia, and Maris played a lively game tonight and Maris ended up the winner!

For weeks Maris has been designing her birthday cake, but at the last minute she changed plans. The original cake was supposed to be a blueberry; what we ended up with is a Peace Sign Happy Face Cake! It took me a minute to make out the hair and face:

We've had enough birthdays that Jeremiah now knows the routine and was excited to help with the candles and joined us in singing the birthday song
