Happy Birthday Javan!

Today Javan celebrated his 17th birthday. Maia bought him a snickers with her own money yesterday and tied a pink ribbon around it! Emily gave him a gift card to Target, and Mark and I got him........nothing. Actually, the weight bench in Mark's post last week was his present. He loves it very much.

And uses it several times a day.


For months now Javan has been wanting to eat lunch at Baccus, a restraraunt in Modesto. He was told he could get an ostrich burger there, but alas, it is no longer on the menu. Instead he and Alex had a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. I had a wierd salad with blackened shrimp and shredded green papaya. We also took our Elder/dentists' son with us, he had a burger (just a regular cow burger). The food was great!

After lunch we ran a few errends and then picked up a cheesecake in lieu of a birthday cake.


The big day proved to be a bit much for Maia and she fell asleep at the table before dinner.
